The Almighty Jesus is hagiographed harshly but full of love with the right hand blessing and the left hand carrying the gospel. A special golden halo surrounds His head, usually with the letters AZ.
Around the image of the Pantocrator, Angels or Apostles are hagiographed, when the dome is high, otherwise the four evangelists are immediately lower in the four architectural niches, in the semi-domes.
