Christian, distinguished for her catechetical and charitable work. The Church, recognizing her contribution, classified her in the choir of the Osias. Her memory is commemorated on April 24 and on this day those who bear the names of Elizabeth, Zebetis and Zambeta celebrate.

Elizabeth came from Thrace and lived in the 5th century. Her birth had been prophesied by an angel of the Lord, who revealed to her mother that she would give birth to a daughter, who would be distinguished for her Christian work. And indeed, from an early age Elizabeth distinguished herself in the ministry of her poor and suffering fellow human beings. In various ways she endeavored to persuade the rich to contribute to the comfort of the weak, while she taught, educated, and indoctrinated their children free of charge. She lived her whole life comforting the distressed and sorrowful and slept peacefully.
